Apply a pea-sized amount of Puppy Polish Toothpaste to the brush. Lift your dog's lip and use gentle circular motions, focusing on the gums and molars. Take it slow — most dogs need a few sessions to settle into the routine. Use the soft rubber tongue scraper on the back of the head for an extra step. Rinse the brush thoroughly after each session, shake off excess water, and store in the breathable container.

How is this different from a human toothbrush?
The bristles are softer and the head is shaped for a dog's mouth — narrower than a human brush, with a curve that follows the gumline. PBT bristles absorb less water than the nylon bristles in most human brushes, which matters because a dog brush rinses off but doesn't go through a dishwasher between uses. Less moisture retention means less bacteria buildup.

How often should I replace it?
Every three months, or sooner if the bristles look splayed or worn. Dental bristles lose effectiveness once they bend out of shape, regardless of how clean they look. Set a reminder for the same date as your toothpaste replacement, so the brush and paste cycle together.

How do I clean it between uses?
Rinse thoroughly with warm water after each brushing, shake off excess water, and store in the breathable container. The container's airflow lets the brush dry fully between sessions — important for limiting bacteria. Don't store wet brushes in a closed drawer or sealed case.
