As a car seat: Place the seat on the rear passenger seat and secure it using the adjustable attachment straps according to the manufacturer's instructions. Check that the non-slip base sits flat and the seat is stable before travelling.

Attach the internal safety strap to your dog's properly fitted harness, never their collar. Ensure your dog can sit or lie down comfortably without excessive freedom of movement.

As a portable bed: Place the seat on a flat, stable surface at home or your destination to give your dog a familiar resting space.

As a carry bag: Use the integrated carrying straps to transport the seat, ensuring your dog is appropriately supported and the product is being used as intended.

The seat's straps and internal tether are not a substitute for a crash-tested vehicle restraint. Use an appropriate crash-tested restraint for protection during car travel.

Never leave your dog unattended in a vehicle.

Polyester cable-knit fabric with padded cushioning.
Matte gold hardware, non-slip base, and removable fabric cover.

What makes The Cable Knit Car Seat different?
It combines By Teddy's signature 3-in-1 travel design with a special-edition cable-knit exterior in Hazelnut. The generously padded cushion creates a comfortable resting space, while the removable cover, adjustable straps, and non-slip base make it practical for regular travel.

How does the 3-in-1 design work?
The seat can be used as a dog car seat, a portable bed at your destination, or a carry bag for transporting your dog. Its versatile design means their familiar resting space can travel with them.

How does the car seat stay in place?
Adjustable attachment straps help secure the seat to your vehicle, while the non-slip base helps minimise movement during travel.

Does it have an internal safety attachment?
Yes. The seat includes an internal safety strap for attaching to your dog's harness. Always attach it to a properly fitted harness, never directly to a collar.

Is this a crash-tested dog car seat?
By Teddy describes the seat as having adjustable safety straps and an internal attachment, but does not publish a crash-test certification for this model. It should therefore not be presented as a crash-tested restraint system.

Can I wash the cover?
Yes. The cable-knit cover is removable and machine washable, making it easier to keep their travel space fresh between adventures.

Is it suitable for small dogs?
Yes. The generous dimensions make it a potential option for small and some medium dogs. Always check that your dog has sufficient space to sit and lie down comfortably.

Can I use it as a dog bed at home?
Absolutely. Its padded design makes it suitable as a cosy resting spot at home, at a holiday destination, or wherever your dog needs a familiar place to settle.

By Teddy started when founders Delphi and David were preparing for their puppy, Theodore, and couldn't find dog products that fit naturally into the way they wanted to live. The London-designed collection now spans travel, walk, wear, and home, with functionality built into the details rather than added as an afterthought. Think carriers with laptop storage and settle mats, coordinated walk sets, practical drying layers, and colors designed to work together. At Bisou Dog, that's what makes By Teddy interesting: the products aren't designed around leaving the dog at home. They're designed around making room for them in the life you already have.
