We selected Atelier Markiz Coffee Hands-Free Leash for owners who walk their dog hands-free — across the city, on a run, on a trail — and want the leash to disappear into the outfit rather than fight it. The Coffee colour is a deep dark brown that reads almost black, finished with rust-resistant stainless steel and chrome-plated brass hardware in silver. The 240cm length adjusts down to short-lead control or up to crossbody and waist wear, with multiple attachment points along the rope.

Choose the thickness based on your dog's weight (6mm up to 5kg, 10mm for 5–12kg). Adjust the length using the attachment points: short for close control, long for crossbody or waist wear. Clip to your dog's harness or collar. Keep the rope dry where possible; rinse and air dry after wet walks.

6mm rope — 110g — for dogs up to 5kg (Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Yorkie).
10mm rope — 240g — for dogs 5–12kg (French Bulldog, Shiba Inu, Cocker Spaniel).

Note: 6mm is not suitable for dogs above 5kg.

Wash with soap and water. Air dry, away from direct heat. Avoid tumble drying. Wipe the silver hardware dry after wet walks to maintain finish.

Which thickness should I order?
By weight, not by breed alone. The 6mm at 110g is for dogs up to 5kg — light, neat, almost weightless on the wrist. The 10mm at 240g is for dogs 5–12kg, stronger and built for slightly more pull. Do not size down on a heavier dog: the 6mm is not rated for over 5kg.

How does the hands-free wear actually work?
The 240cm length adjusts to wear crossbody, around the waist, or as a standard short lead. Multiple attachment points along the rope let you change configuration without unclipping the dog. Silver hardware is the contact point — rust-resistant and built for daily wear.

Can I wash it?
Yes. Wash with soap and water and air dry. The stainless steel and chrome-plated brass hardware is rust-resistant and handles regular wet-weather use well. Avoid the dryer and direct heat to preserve the rope's structure.
