Gently pull the sweater over your dog's head, guide the front legs through the openings, and adjust the knit for a comfortable fit. Attach your lead through the integrated leash opening when using a collar.

Will every sweater look exactly the same?
No. The flecked yarn creates subtle natural variations, making each sweater slightly unique while maintaining the same overall look.

Can the flecked yarn shed small fibres?
Yes. Occasionally, a coloured fibre may become visible or work loose over time. This is a natural characteristic of the blended yarn. If this happens, carefully trim the loose fibre with scissors rather than pulling it.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. The naturally soft alpaca blend is breathable and particularly comfortable for many dogs with sensitive skin.

Can I use it with a lead?
Yes. The sweater features an integrated leash opening for easy access to your dog's collar.

Hand wash in cold water using a mild detergent. Do not wring or twist. Lay flat to dry and do not tumble dry.

Alqo Wasi means “dog home” in Quechua — and the sweaters feel like it. Each piece is hand-knit in Peru using alpaca fibre and traditional Andean weaving techniques. Lighter than wool and warm without the bulk, they work indoors, outdoors, and through the part of winter where your dog suddenly refuses the morning walk. We carry it because the cut matters as much as the fibre. Shorter backs, cleaner belly lines, and proportions made for small dogs — not scaled-down guesses.
